UPSC advances date for 2017 Civil Services Preliminary Examination

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to the prestigious  civil services preliminary examination, to select IAS and IPS officers among others, will be held in June instead of August next year and onward. For last three year the UPSC is conducting this examination in the month of August and now it is after the gap of three years that Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting the examination in June, rather than August.

Central Government will create new Two Lakh Government Jobs by 2017

In a good news for people seeking government jobs, over two lakh posts are estimated to be created by the Central government in its various departments.  Earlier Governments have either stayed on filling of certain Class-IV and Class-III posts Or abolished some of the posts and downsizing was the buzzword in the Government corridors and in economic intellectuals. However, Modi Government has decided to create new jobs and also to fill all existing vacant posts.

The Central government has projected in the budget estimates for 2016-17 an increase of about 2.18 lakh in the existing workforce of 33.05 lakh, as in 2015, by 2017.
